- Editor and Advertising Manager.
Terry Griffiths reported that the Flydresser - Winter 2008 issue - is on schedule through printers ZetaColour - and is printed and away at the finishers, to be sent to the mailing house early next week, and all this despite the worst endeavours of the postal system not to deliver/return proofing copy to the editor in reasonable, or unreasonable time!
Some prospective (new) contributors have sent in very complex articles based on their having acquired digital photographic equipment, complex because a fundamental knowledge of photo technique is still required/preferred to achieve a usable image, far beyond the Auto setting on the camera .... !
An arrangement with the FlyFishers' Club (London) has unearthed otherwise limited issued articles for our use in Flydresser. A reciprocal agreement with the club that they receive a copy of the magazine for their archive as our part of the bargain is in place. The articles in question, authored by FDG members were previously published only in the FFC Journal.
