Ringwood and District Branch
We meet at the scout hut on Eastfield lane in Ringwood, every Wednesday evening from late September to the first week in April. We have a very varied group of members’ from the very young to the very “mature”. Do they stay that long I hear you ask well yes they do! We now have a membership of forty plus. We offer a comprehensive fly tying program that takes the new comer in year one from beginner, to advanced in year three. We achieve this with the use of very experienced fly tying mentors I won’t say instructors as that is too formal.

Rob Norris and the Beginners group
The ab initio will start at Ringwood and he/she depending on experience will be allocated a group to start in. We have a booklet of patterns for both the beginner an intermediate group and they are ably coached through this by one of the club, at present our Chairman Rob Norris leads the beginners (Rob also instructs at the Wessex branch) and Brin Woodsford the Intermediate. The third group we have are the more accomplished tiers led by Pete Wildash from Mayo Flycraft, and they tend to diversify and experiment with techniques.
We provide all materials less vice and thread, and we even have a shop provided by John Ball (CEFF proceeds go towards assisting England Fly Fishing Team).
